I didn't get an opportunity to say a big thank you for the skills
you taught me. The eight-week workshop is highly recommended and every class
was fun and very inspirational. I am now starting to set up a small business
at home. I shall keep you posted on my progress.
Once again - thank you!
Best regards,
Ting

I had previously been to two of Bibi's beading
courses which I really enjoyed. I wanted to do benchwork because I like the
physical side of it - using tools to craft something out of nothing. I
purposely chose to do a fairly challenging piece with lots of fine sawing
work for the design detail. It also involved learning and using so many
other skills, such as filing, hammer work and using heat to anneal the metal
and solder the different pieces together.
Bibi gives you instruction, support and ideas, but you are also responsible
for your own work and completing the piece at your own pace and skill level
- which I like. Bibi's jewellery design skills are really helpful as this is
an area I had little knowledge or experience in. Also, she will work
patiently with you until you have finished the piece, making sure you
complete each stage to the very best of your ability, which is really
important if you want a wearable piece of jewellery at the end of it.
Although the pendant I made (click
here) took time and patience, I loved doing it and have a real
sense of achievement now I have finished it. Also, I know it is a unique
piece - no one else in the world has a pendant the same as mine. I recently
wore it back in London and received so many compliments -- people were
genuinely amazed that I had actually made it myself.

The Bibianna website is looking really good and just to let
you know my partner Geoff has it on his favourites as he says the jewellery
dictionary is a life-saver for his work as Editor for the HK Trade
Development Council's trade magazines.

Taking Bibi's classes helped me decide to
pursue a career in the jewelry industry. Her guidance, her passion for
jewelry and her teaching skills were very helpful and inspirational. With
her support, I continued my training in Italy and am very happy to have made
this decision.

This is my second term under Mrs Bibi
Cheung’ tuition in jewellery design. She is a well qualified and
experienced teacher, and also a cheerful and energetic lady. To an idiot in
jewellery design like me benefit a lot from her lively teaching approach.
Apart from drawing techniques, presentation skills, she also shared
with the class her design expertise and trade experience. It was interesting
and helped to stimulate our imagination and creativity in jewellery
design.
Complimenting our course work and point out the
defects of drawings encourages students to create and learn from mistakes
which allow students to see more, to learn more and quicker. ‘CREATIVE’ is
what DESIGN all about.

As a graduate
gemologist, I admire jewels and jewellery through the microscope either in
their loose
status or as the final products but always marvel and have a high regard for
those who possessed the original ideas and skills to translate all such
abstract ideas into reality. Jewellery design is full of challenges
and delights and I was glad that I made the start in this July under Ms.
Bibi Cheung’s instruction.”

Unbelievable that is i got a 優異獎.
thank you your teaching, but i still have many doubts about design concept.
Hello! I am Janet
Chung, this is my first time to join the Jewellery design course. The
reasons of studying this course are, I worked in a Jewellery shop and I
found that I am quite interested in designing Jewellery. Also during a
summer holiday, I have more free times to take that course.
Before this course I
am afraid I cannot draw any good design, however after these two months I
know I can. In this course, I learn a lot and the most important thing is
our teacher lets us know, all the things, that we have seen, can also change
to be a Jewellery Design.
I have been loving beautiful
jewelleries since my childhood. Sometimes I have good ideas in my mind, but
when I try to express, it cannot be satisfactory to me. Design is not so
easy as my thinking. To express some ideas needs a practical skill which
could be grasped only through continual practices. There is no short cut for
success in the world. Through the course of Jewellery Design, I learned the
basic technique. With such formal training as well as my enthusiasm, I
believe that I could make a good jewel design in future.
